The workshop at Little Brown Jug is well appointed with power tools and woodworking machinery. The craftsmen of the Victorian era would have made good use of these ahd they been available. In earlier days everthing was done using handtools. I take advantage of the equipment though many of the repairs I undertake are still done by hand and using handtools many of which are now considered antique.       I try where possible to repair rather than replace though sometimes there are few ,if any, alternatives.   I also from time to time use modern adhesives such as epoxy resin glues but remain mindfull that repairs on period antiques may need attention in the future and my repairs may need to be "undone".
